King of Ur's Love Box

This collection is celebratory, almost liturgical. Inspired by the Epic of Gilgamesh, King of Ur, it is a recreation on how the king would have expressed his love and friendship for Enkidu, his inseparable companion. The main decorative elements in this collection -the garland and the guilloche- have been taken from ancient seals. We played with these elements, duplicating them, twisting them, repeating them, to give a modern approach to the old motifs. Gold also plays a central role in these pieces. Together with gemstones, gold strives to appear playfull, innocent, almost unaware of its own value.
